Taco Seasoning

This recipe for taco seasoning tastes so good, makes my entire apartment smell amazing when I cook with it, and it is incredibly simple to make. I usually double or triple the recipe, so I can have plenty on hand and also use extra in all my Mexican dishes! If you like spicy taco mix, you will love this.

Fried Egg Croissant

I could eat eggs everyday if I had my way all the time, but I don't think my family would be too happy with the constant egg smell floating around the apartment... When I do cook eggs, however, this is usually the way I do it. Come on, who doesn't love Egg McMuffins?

Fluffy French Toast

I LOVE french toast, and growing up I would choose it for my birthday dinner every single year (it drove my dad crazy). For my birthday this past year, Casey surprised me by secretly taking the day off of work, sneaking out to buy me flowers, and then making me breakfast in bed. I was amazing. And of course, we had french toast :) This recipe is a little different than normal french toast, so if it might have a slightly different taste/texture to what you're used to!

Chicken & Rice

One evening, I was raiding the cupboards in search of anything that I could make for dinner. I saw a can of cream of chicken soup and new I had to use it. I love cream of chicken soup, but hadn't had it for years! So I raided some more and found a few basic, yet delicious, items to add to the soup. I like coming up with random recipes sometimes, and I make Casey test them :) Anyways....this recipe turned out amazing and it is soooo easy and quick to prepare. Definitely one of my go-to recipes for when I'm in a hurry.

Breakfast Cups

I first saw this recipe in a magazine last winter. The real name is Bird Nest Breakfast Cups, because they look just like a little bird's nest! I knew instantly that I wanted to make these, because it's a unique twist on the classic bacon and eggs breakfast. These are super easy to make, and would be perfect to for a large group. Not only do they look "restaurant worthy," but they are insanely easy to prepare and have the same old bacon and egg taste that everyone loves!!

Crepes With Cream Cheese

I LOVE crepes, I would eat them every morning for breakfast when I was attending Washington State University! These crazy things are super easy to make, and there are endless options when it comes to filling them. The way I normally make them is just a plain crepe, cream cheese filling, and drizzled with chocolate. Sometimes I mix the cream cheese filling with a fruit jam, and top with powdered sugar. It is amazing for breakfast, and even better for dessert! Now I'm just making myself hungry...

Grilled Cheese & Pickles

Now I know what you're thinking....I am disgusting and pickles have no business on a grilled cheese sandwich, right? Maybe you're right, or maybe you just need to try this for yourself and be the judge. This all started when I was really little, and my Great Grandma would make me this crazy combination for lunch. I continued making it for myself as I grew up, and I will continue the tradition on for my children as well. Because if there is one thing we all should know, it's that the elderly are usually ALWAYS right!

Baked Ziti

This was the very first meal I ever made for Casey, back in the first week or two that we were dating. He loved it, but unfortunately it wasn't REAL baked ziti... the day started out horrible, and everything that could go wrong did go wrong. I was scrambling to get something prepared for lunch, because I knew Casey would be to my apartment within the hour. At the last minute I found 3 Baked Ziti Smart Ones (Weight Watcher meals) in my freezer. I tore them out of their packages, stuck them all in a baking dish, and popped it into the oven. When Casey arrived, it smelled as though I had been slaving in the kitchen all morning preparing some elaborate Italian cuisine. He ate every bite and loved it.... A few months after we were married I told him the real story :) This recipe, however, it the real one that I have made several times since that day and it hasn't let me down yet. Hope you enjoy!

Baked Apples

Well it's Fall time again. By far my favorite season! It's just too bad that here in Utah, Fall doesn't last too long before the snow arrives. So instead of enjoying a freezing Autumn outside, I like to enjoy it inside with Autumn flavors and recipes. Baked apples are DEFINITELY the true taste of Fall. I made this last Thanksgiving for the first time...and WOW, so delicious!! At the time I was craving oatmeal, and ice cream and then somehow I landed on baked apples. Funny how the mind works, huh? Anyways...you have to try this recipe. It's so gooooood and super easy to make! Hope you enjoy it as much as Casey and I did :)

Starting Over....

So last year I started a blog, and I absolutely loved updating it each week...until a certain person I absolutely dislike found it. This discouraged me from posting anymore, and I stopped doing what I loved to do! But now I'm back, and it's going to be different this time around. Even if I am found again, I will keep up my recipe and craft posts. I owe it to myself to never stop doing what I love doing!! I figured since it's the start of a new season, why not make it the start of my new blog as well? So here we go, Blogger Round 2. I hope you enjoy!
